Blogging in the time of a pandemic- Christmas Spirit

Updated: Feb 19, 2021

So Christmas is coming...it could be the strangest Christmas so far. We are in Tier 4 so no mixing with anyone else. We can't see our families or friends, its going to be cosy cosy at home all the way, but sad to miss out on the usual madness and laughs. Just before Tier 4 happened I did manage to squeeze in a little busking care of Jess Cox. My wonderful friend has been playing each week in her local market town, raising money for Help Musicians, a charity aimed at providing us musicians with grants and financial help during this time, as also before the pandemic. Such a worthy cause and one worth freezing my fingers for to play outside in December. It was very heartwarming to see the reaction of the locals to hearing live music being played, even if it was busking.....possibly not having heard live music , with the exception of Jess weekly play, since March. The older generation would have been isolating or shielding as best they could and on this day the sun was shining and they could sit in perfect social distance listening to Corelli ,Bach and some Christmas carols.
